Unfortunately, Plain Folk, made up of Isabelle Delage, Mick Perreaux, Leigh Redding & Val Teodori, will not be able to perform this month as one of our group members will be unavailable. However, we've got a great replacement!

John Landon is a true James Taylor fan and will be performing some of his songs for us. John says, "I remember listening to Fire and Rain for the first time in the early seventies. I was fascinated by his guitar playing style and soothing vocals. Music is my hobby, and I enjoy sharing these songs with other musicians and friends." John has lived in Montreal and Los Angeles, and says "it's great to be back home again and to be connecting with local musicians."

BJ & Buddies is a group of four (maybe five!) women and is headed by Brenda Elder, a Chateauguay valley resident who has been entertaining folks in the region for over 20 years as part of the female duo Dusty Rose. Brenda has a distinctive raspy voice “à la Janis Joplin” and with her ‘Buddies’ will be performing some acoustic folk/country/rock numbers with lots of harmonies.

Ian Gray is a somewhat reclusive singer/songwriter/interpreter. He is far better known for producing sound for others at the Adair Hall Coffee House in Ste Anne de Bellevue than being in the spotlight, but we've managed to nail him down. He'll be on our stage for a set of lesser known covers and perhaps an original or two if we twist his arm. Make sure to ask him about his alter ego Montian Gilruth and the virtual musical career that has developed around a cartoon character. Who would believe it??

Grab an egg-shaker and your dancing shoes and get set for some merry music-making with The Bombadils! Be it at the local Irish pub or an inner-city church, these animated young musicians bring a modern twist to the traditional roots of Celtic music. In no time at all, they’ll have you up and dancing, raising your glasses and singing along to heart-warming blends of toe-tapping instrumental sets and folksy, familiar song. In addition to playing for various functions and festivities in and around Montreal, The Bombadils are proud to support and perform for charity and outreach programs such as Heart of the City and Chamber Music Without Borders.
