The Side Door Coffee House, located in the West Island (Montreal), is a non-profit venue that presents a monthly evening of live entertainment. Popular with musicians from all over Canada and the Northeastern United States, the Side Door usually hosts three or four acts per evening in a variety of genres including folk, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, Celtic, classical and spoken word.
Our purpose is three-fold: provide a venue for musicians to play, offer live music at a very reasonable cost to a diversified audience, and help St. David’s Youth Group finance their activities by giving them a share of the proceeds in return for their help with setup, door and kitchen duties.
